Glam Rock Women's Miami Collection Diamond Accented Brown Python Watch $2,395 USD

Nightcap Deep V Victorian Lace Dress $340 USD

Let me preface this post by wishing all you mammas out there a wonderful, magical day. I realize it must be hard to tame all those wild children in the world, but in the fashion biz those are the souls that succeed. If one thing someone told me once that I try to live by is to never let go of your inner child. BUT, leaving that aside...my post really is about some boho-fantastic findings I've saved for this week. In my brainstorm for this post I thought of uploading some beautiful jewelry by Nicole Richie's House of Harlow but I reckon I've done a few of those already, yet the inspiration still remains. Oh and by the way, if you've never checked out Max and Chloe's outrageously amazing site for jewelry, please do so NOW!!

shake that bootie

Steve Madden Graanie Boot $129.95 USD

L.A. Cano Calima Bracelet (price unknown)

I intended to make this post about booties, inspired on this gorgeous pair by Steve Madden, but then thought I've seen some stuff out there that are new on my wishlist and would rather add 'em! So here ya' go, my latest drools!

sequin summer

Kelsi Dagger Laurie Pump $89.95
House of Harlow 1960 Double Diamond Hand Piece $125
Elizabeth and James Estelle Crop loose-fit blouse $225
Express Sequin Shorts $59.90
Ann Taylor LOFT Lea Bronze Flip Flop $78

I recently purchased these awesome pair of shorts from Express, and was wondering what great summer outfit I could come up with to pair them up, especially in these hot summer days (I just came back from Nevada and 100F is definitely sizzling!). I noticed that button shirts are a total must this season, and what could be more comfortable than that?! If you want to go for a complete in look, go crop! And of course, you have the option of a high heels vs. sandals, I usually go for the heels because I'm very tiny, but Ann Taylor's new collection is definitely screaming summer! If your budget allows, you may consider the Pour La Victoire pumps that are sooo sexy...or your favorite summer wedges hidden somewhere in the closet!

easter baskets!

Alexander McQueen. Knuckle Box Clutch. $2,195.
Rebecca Minkoff. 'Bombe Mac' leather crossbody clutch. $330.

Kate Spade. Bitsy crossbody. $195.

Lilly Pulitzer. The Golden Clutch. $128.

Well...not exactly Easter baskets but the title definitely appeals to the current holidays! I just had a well-deserved week in the beach for the holidays (say our 'spring break'), and decided not to bring the computer with me so I could have a real R&R! Needless to say, I got home tonight and have spent a good few hours on the computer! I've been thinking about a wedding I have in Australia in a bit over a month, and it's happening during their winter season. So, I've been rambling online looking for accessory options, and one of my concerns is the bag. I haven't mentioned that I'm trying to strive on the fashion world (at least the Costa Rican one!) with a small leather purse/bag brand called Pizca and I'm always in the search of inspiration :) So here I leave you with a small sample of my ultimate fairytales!

face the crowd

Personally, I think styling has got to be one of the coolest careers out there. I love to search the net for awesome ways to inspire my wardrobe and add some spice by looking into look-books or why not, a savvy online boutique that know how to dress. So here I leave you with some of my pics from Planet Blue: True to the spirit of sunny Southern California, where surf and starts blend in casual harmony, Planet Blue has emerged as an authentic alternative to the fast-paced retail world of mass malls and faceless crowds.

I see spring!

Miu Miu. Leather shoulder bag. $1,095.

Although in Costa Rica we don't have the four seasons (only wet and dry seasons), we do get the fashion outlook from the world. It seems like Spring is finally arriving- especially in the East Coast that has had such a harsh winter- and with it comes plenty of color!

must haves

Pushmataaha. Shaka Ring (turquoise).
Arnsdorf. Hair Vest.
Maurie & Eve. Sloux Dress (cactus).
Camilla and Marc. Portmans Collection.
Zimmermann. Trival Rouched Dress (cherry bomb).
Carolina Herrera. Audrey Bag.

So I have to admit it...I spend PLENTY of hours in the internet drooling over fashion wonders I can't splurge on. I have a crush on many many labels (Halston Heritage, Haute Hippie, Camilla and Marc, Elizabeth and James, Sass and Bide, Sachin + Babi,...) and would MORE THAN LOVE to be able to wear 'em. However, I'll have to conform with blogging about 'em and thinking that if I work hard enough maybe one day I will! Ha! So...Here are some of my latest drools...

bright & bold

I've recently been contacted from a new client that has a catering business, named in Swahili. So I've gone under the task of researching that East African region, including textiles, graphics, interiors, etc. I came by the Swahili Fashion Week hosted in Dar Es Salaam in 2010 with bold designs and rich textures, as wells as Suno Designs made from recycled African textiles from Kenya. The latter caught my attention because it's political/cultural statements in their kangas (rectangles of printed cotton that women from the coast of East Africa have worn since the mid 1800s, passed from mother to daughter), because they are most commonly sold in identical pairs and have phrases in Swahili with social, political or sexual connotations.

royal gypsy

Alexandre Herchcovitch's FW2010 collection blew everyone's mind in Saõ Paulo Fashion Week. He contrasts the gypsy lifestyle with a royal divinity, creating a bohemian elegance that dazzles the eye. Bold color combinations, delicate use of beads&chains and intricate patterns make up this winter fairytale!
